“Comfort”

There are times when comfort is needed
There are times when your heart fills with pain
At such times oh how heavy the feeling
The pressure, the tears and the strain
With your family there gathered together
They’re aware of your ache deep within
And where comfort and love have been gathered
Is where healing can thus then begin

“The Promise”

The future and its content
The hope that lies ahead
A resurrection promise
Will bring to life the dead
An enemy now present
Will one day disappear
A promise now awaits us
A guarantee is clear
A promise of a future
Where life begins once more
Jehovah in his wisdom
Provides for us a door
The son of God now present
That door will open wide
And those of faith may enter
And through it thus will stride
The resurrection promise
Is true and sound and real
For it’s a promised future
That has Jehovah’s seal!

Bit of Comfort

Once again this night I sit
And think about my friend
She needs a bit of comfort now
And this I’d like to send
The times she’s had to comfort me
And lift me from the depths
What words of wisdom that she brought
In soft and gentle steps
What lessons I have learned from her
With joy my heart was caught
Thus I must now return to her
The comfort that she brought
