“Empty Plate”

Another day another dollar
Another time another place
Filled your time with thoughts of money
And your plate with empty space
Yes, your soul is now quite hollow
And your heart now feels the pain
For your heart you’ve filled with sorrow
As your pockets filled with gain
Thus from all your time and effort
And from what you’ve left behind
Do you feel the void within you?
Do you need some peace of mind?
Seek to fill that void now present
Seek to find a peaceful day
Where your plate will fill with knowledge
Where your sorrow’s chased away
With these words I offer clearly
And with them I wish to state
When you turn to God Jehovah
He will fill your empty plate.
