“Heartache”

Such heartache is present
The pain you must feel
Yet each day, it’s passage
Can help you to heal
Though now, at the present
Your pain is too deep
Your heart is too heavy
Your soul thus will weep
Because of your sorrow
Your heart cannot see
That such pain and heartache
Will not always be
Your hope of the future
Will one day exceed
The pain you now carry
Your heart will not heed
Yet now for the moment
Your pain is so real
It’s hard now to reason
That you’ll one day heal
But someone is present
Of your pain aware
Who’ll wrap you in comfort
His spirit to share
The warmth of his presence
Will lesson your ache
For your sorrow, heartache
And pain he will take
